DREAM BIG, LIVE BIG

Elsa Bailey, who is legally blind, celebrated her 100th birthday by going skiing. Elsa told the Denver Post, "It's not what happens that makes you happy, it's what you decide to do. You can be sick and if you want to be happy, all you have to do is turn on the happy machine. I try and turn on the happy machine as often as I can." Elsa hung up her skis after her birthday but said her bucket list still includes visiting the Norwegian fjords, Old Faithful in Yellowstone National Park and seeing polar bears in the Arctic. And just a few months later, that last wish came true when she traveled to Churchill, Canada, the famed "polar bear capital of the world." Click here to read all about Elsa's adventures in Canada straight from the tour guide who accompanied Elsa on the trip, which included everything from seeing the Northern Lights to riding front and center on a sled dog excursion and, of course, seeing polar bears in the wild. The lesson? Live life boldly and you never know where the road will take you!
