Notes from the Podium
by Debbie Walden and Robin Rice

What a tremendous time we had at the concert last weekend! Thank you for all the hard work you put into your music. Also, thank you for arriving on time and dressing appropriately. You showed great professionalism! At our next rehearsal you will receive new music which we will prepare for the February 6th concert. We'll have three rehearsals before Winter break, and only four after Winter break! Come ready to work hard! Enjoy your Thanksgiving holiday! See you in December!

Ugne Tiskute is a young and vibrant viola player, who has already established herself as an internationally renowned musician and winner of various international competitions and major awards. Ugne began her studies at the age of six on the violin. At the age of sixteen she got fascinated by the deep, rich sound of viola which convinced her to pursue and discover all the secrets of this underestimated instrument. Watch her performance here to Henri Vieuxtemps Elegy for viola and chamber orchestra -Ugne Tiskute.
