Children take part in Anti-Bullying Week

Children at Hereward Primary School, Loughton, have taken part in national 'Anti-Bullying Week'.

The theme this year was 'Make a noise about bullying!'

As part of the activities, the children have been learning what bullying is and the importance of utilising different strategies.

A highlight of the week was a visit from Seb Ventura, from Debden Park High School, who conducted drama workshops with Year 5 and 6 children to help them further understand how to deal with bullying issues.

The school's Anti-Bullying Co-ordinator, Scott Buckland, said: "It is important to highlight the serious issues related to bullying and particularly with those to do with online and cyber bullying.

"We aim to equip our children with the skills to make the right decisions and to ask for help when they need it."
