The Holidays are Upon Us . . .

The CUMC Outreach Team would like to THANK all of you wonderful, dependable and dedicated volunteers for your faithful service this year.  We are so blessed to have people from many different churches, age groups, and working status that combine to give their time and efforts towards our programs. Along with the great volunteers, we have many faithful donors who also make our programs so successful. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

As we prepare to gather with family and friends through Thanksgiving and Christmas, please pray for those still facing life’s greatest challenges of hunger, shelter and connection. May the New Year bring even more successes for the folks that we serve.

This time of year inspires us to count our blessings; and Central’s Community Outreach program is truly grateful for the blessings we’ve received in 2015.

To date, Community Outreach has served over 18,000 meals this year to our homeless community and those families in need. We could not have done this without the continuous support of our church, our community and our precious volunteers. To each and every one of you I want to give a very special thank you for all you do!

Once again, with the help of our volunteers, Community Outreach will open it's doors seven days a week this winter to provide a warm place each morning and serve breakfast to those in need.  

We are always in need of volunteers - especially on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Please keep us in mind if you have a few hours to spare.

And last but not least, everyone is invited to join us in the Sanctuary at Central Church on Sunday, November 29th at 3:00pm for our Jazzy Christmas Concert. This family-fun event will be sure to put everyone in the mood for the Christmas season. There will be a free will offering during the concert to support our Outreach program. 

I hope the beauty of the season will be with you, and may all the blessings of the holidays shine upon you and your family.
