ROTC program selected top in 3rd Brigade
Competing against 42 programs stretching from Northern Michigan to Southern Missouri, the Northwoods Battalion was awarded the 2015 Overall Top Program by the 3rd Army ROTC Brigade on Nov. 19. It is the first time in history that the Nortwoods Battalion, which is comprised of the Army ROTC programs from UW-Stout, UW-Eau Claire, UW-River Falls and UW-Stevens Point, won the award. Campus honored for tobacco-free efforts
It was nearly 15 years in the making, but in 2014, UW-Stevens Point became a tobacco-free campus. On Nov. 13, partners from across the state, region and campus celebrated our accomplishment, including recognition by Rep. Katrina Shankland and Gary Garske, Portage County health officer. School of Ed undergraduate students in Assessment and Intervention Strategies-Children with Disabilities presented research posters to parents of children attending Gesell Institute.
