welcome to the november edition of my newsletter!
My latest Home Portrait is complete! I invite you to look at Craven Lane below and in the header above.
As I might have mentioned previously, I love the new challenges that come with each home portrait. This one had its share. Card stock was an adventure to stitch through! And this portrait was comprised mostly of wedding cards... I was happy to include some lace from the wedding dress and enjoyed figuring out the stitch shorthand for the stucco texture of the house.
When I posted a detail of the edge of the portrait on Instagram, someone commented on the cake-like look of it. I so enjoyed that comparison that I'm sharing a detail below of the "frosting" on the edge.

studio snapshots
The costume season is gearing up in my studio! I've been working on designs for my kids' annual Christmas play and the construction is about to begin. I'll be posting snapshots regularly on Instagram, so keep up with the fun there!

➤ Extended! Until November 30th you can see my work as part of NWAG at Martin Stankiewicz Gallery in Tarrytown, NY. The gallery is open Friday 5 to 8 PM, Saturday 12 to 6PM and Sunday 1 to 4PM. I'll be happy to meet you there!
➤ You can also see my work at the Pop Up Shop at 31 Main Street in Tarrytown. Thursday 11-5, Friday and Saturday 11-7, and Sunday 11-5. Through November 30th.
➤On December 6th I'll be showing small artwork, prints and postcards at the North Castle Community Center 12 to 4PM. Stock up on some art for the holidays!
➤Through December 18th Iron Spine 1 is part of Fiber Currents/Current Fiber at the Perrella Gallery, Fulton Montgomery Community College in Johnstown, NY.
➤Through January 8th my art will be on exhibit with NWAG at the Chappaqua Library in Chappaqua, NY.
