WCA2016 will feature many timely and relevant themes spanning research and practice in audiology — it’s an event you don’t want to miss!

WCA2016 will feature plenary roundtable sessions, pre-conference workshops, concurrent educational sessions, opportunities for socializing and networking and an exhibition hall where delegates will learn about the latest advances in the hearing industry. 

More than 125 world-renowned speakers will discuss cutting-edge topics including brain imaging, auditory and cognitive aging, internet-based assessment and rehabilitation and the impact of real-life situations on listening effort, hearing aids, acoustics and more.

The congress content will be organized by the following themes, on the dates indicated:
  • September 19th: Auditory Neuroscience: Beyond the Ear and the Audiogram
  • September 20th: Advancing Best Practices in Audiology
  • September 21st: Hearing Health in a Social Context

Submit an Abstract
 
The call for contributed posters and podium papers is now open! WCA2016 is accepting abstracts for inclusion in the congress’s scientific program. This is an excellent opportunity to showcase your work to leaders in your profession.
 
Submissions are due by February 15, 2016 and further information is available online.

The chance to visit this spectacular city is another compelling reason to attend WCA2016. Vancouver is located on Canada’s west coast and boasts an endless array of notable attractions. With breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean and a gorgeous mountain landscape, as well as an ancient rainforest and numerous parks and gardens, there is no shortage of natural beauty. 

Vancouver is also home to a bustling metropolis and is one of Canada's most diverse cities. Many of its restaurants offer local food and wine, and it has a a lively music, theatre and art scene. The city is also known for its moderate climate, efficient public transportation and easily-accessible international airport.

Online registration for WCA2016 will open in mid- to late January. We will announce the opening of the registration period via email, but until then be sure to mark your calendars for the congress and tell your colleagues from around the world to do the same!
