Gift of Hope - Christmas Appeal 2015
This year, hundreds of local people in Oxfordshire will wake up homeless on Christmas Day. For them, Christmas is not a time of magic, celebration and joy. It’s just another day when they will wake up on the streets or in unsafe accommodation.

Aspire Oxford and Oxford Homeless Pathways have launched a joint Christmas Appeal to transform Christmas this year for homeless people in Oxfordshire and to give them hope for a brighter future.
You can support our Christmas Appeal by making a donation or by getting together with colleagues, friends and family to raise money through cake sales, collections or a Christmas Quiz. Every penny raised will make a huge difference to our vital work. Thank you.

A gift of £10 could provide a homeless person coming in off the street with an essential welfare pack including toiletries such as toothpaste and soap
A gift of £20 could provide an IT course for 10 homeless people, helping them to write a CV and research housing and employment opportunities
A gift of £45 could provide intensive employment support to help homeless people back into work.

Clare’s story at Christmas

“I became homeless with my two sons after fleeing domestic abuse. One of the hardest things about being homeless at Christmas was not having our most special possessions with us, like my two sons’ homemade Christmas decorations. I felt so much failure as a parent, shame for our situation and fear for our future.

But thanks to the support of charities like Aspire and Oxford Homeless Pathways, this year I’m looking forward to Christmas in my own home. I’m so excited that the Christmas decorations are already up! Please support Aspire and Oxford Homeless Pathways this Christmas on behalf of everyone in Oxfordshire who doesn’t have a safe, warm home.”
