November 24th is Grandparent's Day at LCE. Join us in the MPR for coffee and cookies and then accompany your Grandkids to their classroom where you can learn with them for part of the morning. This truly is a highlight of the year for our students!
9:15-10:10 - All day Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade
10:30-11:30 - 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade
1:30 - 2:30 - PM Kindergarten
Family Heritage night is where families gather to share their heritage with other students and families here at LCE. This can be done by displaying facts and history, artifacts, recipes, the list goes on! We would love to have as many families participate as possible. Examples of what could be on the poster boards are a map, flag, facts, pictures and books on your country. Kids are not limited to use only these examples. Please be creative and use your imagination! Please see our page on the PTA Website for additional details and click here for the registration form!
Thanks to all of you that have joined the PTA this year. To date, we have over 300 members which has allowed us to earn the Bronze Membership Award. Don’t forget some of the great discounts you receive by joining the PTA: 20% off at Great Wolf Lodge (good through 12/31/15), 10% off Thai Bistro and Papa Murphy's.
We still have several teachers and staff members who haven’t had their PTA membership sponsored yet (see the list above). Let’s show them the love! $10 is all it takes. Just fill out the above membership form, check the “Teacher Sponsorship” box, fill in their name, and send it in to school with your student. We would like to get all of our teachers and staff sponsored. Thank you all for your support.

We are looking for our next Volunteer of the Month! If you know someone who goes above and beyond for our school, staff and students, please consider nominating them for this award. It’s easy to nominate a volunteer. Just email littlecedarspta@gmail.com with the name or names of volunteers you feel go above and beyond along with a short summary of why you are nominating them. Each month, we will select from the submissions.
