Radical Craft Night is a festival of non-traditional crafts in Santa Cruz. It’s a night of hands-on activities and live demonstrations: where tri-loom weaving meets taxidermy, blacksmithing meets podcasting, fashion art meets social activism, and tradition meets innovation.

Meet the crafters:

Explore the art of blacksmithing in fiery demonstrations by blacksmith Michael Wood.

Climb aboard artist Wes Modes’ handcrafted shantyboat and learn about his adventurous project: Secret History of American River People

Learn basic weaving techniques with Bennett Williamson by sharing a backstrap loom with a partner, and weaving pieces of fabric together towards the center.

Craft fruity, foodie wreaths with twist ties, farm-foraged foliage and dried flowers scavenged by Nicole Zahm and Sarah Daniels of Santa Cruz Community Farmers' Markets.

Learn about more of the hands-on workshops, performances and demonstrations of 3rd Friday: Radical Craft Night on our website here. RSVP on Facebook here.
