Dear <<First Name>>,

This week, the government is expected to announce another £20bn of cuts to public services. Education in Oxfordshire is already under severe strain with cuts to Advisory Services, Behaviour Support and now the Early Intervention Service and Children's Centres, all of which are to be closed.

On Wednesday, when the government makes its announcement, we will host a meeting with Kevin Courtney (Deputy General Secretary of the NUT) and a local parent from the Save Oxfordshire's Children's Centres campaign to discuss what we can do, as individuals and through our Union, to give every child the best possible start in life.

At the meeting, we will also have an update on our Exam Factories campaign about assessment and accountability and discuss motions for Annual Conference 2016.

If you would like to put forward a motion on a topic of importance to you and your colleagues, please email us the text of the motion by Tuesday 25th November 2015 or bring enough copies on the day. If you have a topic you care about but are not sure about writing a motion, drop us a line and we can give you a hand.

I hope you can join us on Wednesday.

Best wishes,

Gawain Little
Secretary
