Our CSA Farm News - Week Three
The hot weather continues and we are seeing record temperatures this Fall. Despite the warm weather the crops are coming in well. We have an abundance of Defiant tomatoes this week for your shares. New to the shares this week...cilantro! Along with Ethiopian kale, Burgundy and Jumbo beans, and sungold tomatoes. We are hoping to sprinkle in a Meyer lemon or two as well.
We are going to try and sow radishes this week. Radishes will not form their wonderfully crunchy roots if the weather stays too warm. Cross your fingers for cooler temperatures.
In the field are purplette onions, lettuces, sprouting peas, dill, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini, jalapeno peppers, blooming eggplant, and cucumbers. A lot is coming on and we can't wait to share it with you!
