SEASON UPDATE

The AdamBots had a great time competing at the Bloomfield Hills Girls Competition, a FIRST off-season event, on November 14th. This event was the last competition at which the 2015 FIRST game, Recycle Rush, was played. We were picked for the eighth alliance captained by team 51, Wings of Fire, and competed in the quarter finals. Congratulations to team members Kathryn Cesiel and Saniyah Shaikh who were awarded $1,000 scholarships at this competition!

The AdamBots also held an outreach event to benefit Relay for Life. Students met at the Village of Rochester Hills and formed teams of five. The teams were given a list of items to find or do around the Village. Teams had to take pictures of the items and actions and send them to a mentor to be scored. Winners were announced at the end of the event. Altogether, 36 students attended the event and donated money to raise $200 for Relay for Life. This event allowed the AdamBots to give back to the community in a fun and creative way!

The OCCRA team is awarded the 2016 Foundation Award at the OCCRA banquet.

OCCRA WRAP-UP

Our OCCRA team has just completed a wonderful season! At the fourth competition, the AdamBots won the Beautiful Bot Award. The OCCRA team won the Quality Award at the Championships on November 21st. The team advanced to the semi-finals at this event, and at the OCCRA banquet, they won the Foundation Award for the fifth time. Congratulations to Most Valuable Player, Vishnu Rengaraj, and Honorable Mention, Brendan Treanore!
