It's Nutcracker time!

Our first annual Nutcracker performance will be a private event for the Life Care Center on Sunday, December 13th at 1:00pm.

Each year, our Nutcracker production will continue to grow and evolve.  Next year's plans are already in the works!  Dancers will audition in September 2016 for a public production next December.  Did you know that it takes a village to raise a Nutcracker production?  If you are interested in volunteering, email dance@salishseaballet.com or call Miss Jeanne at 298-1720.

To learn more about what it takes to produce a full length Nutcracker, take a look at the following articles that discuss Pacific Northwest Ballet's brand new version:

Meet our new teacher - Miss Elizabeth

Salish Sea Ballet is excited to announce that Elizabeth MacLellan has joined our faculty.  Miss Elizabeth brings a wealth of professional dance training and knowledge to our studio, and will be working alongside Miss Jeanne to expand Salish Sea Ballet's pre-professional ballet program.

Elizabeth MacLellan began dancing at 2 1/2 years old in Dallas, Texas. She danced under the direction of Densil Adams at Preston Center Dance where she also received her teaching apprenticeship. Elizabeth has performed with Dallas Metropolitan Ballet and in Europe with a traveling troupe under the guide of former Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo dancer Nathalie Krassovaska. Elizabeth has danced in ballets such as Giselle, Swan Lake and numerous charity events such as DIFFA and The Crystal Charity Ball.

Currently, in Friday Harbor, Elizabeth continues to strive to teach well rounded dancers with classical technique. She is thrilled to be joining the staff at Salish Sea Ballet to help dancers build self-esteem, exercise, grace and performance experience through dance.
