Holiday Wishes

Regina Cat Rescue wishes you all the best for a merry festive season! As the year comes to a close, we look back on the amazing work that we’ve been able to do for the cats and kittens of this city. In 2015, our volunteers rescued over 350 cats and found adoptive homes for more than 260. Our foster homes are currently caring for almost 130 cats, and our feral team feeds community cats in more than 30 colonies each and every day. We wouldn’t be able to do any of this if it weren’t for our dedicated and selfless volunteers, our donors and sponsors, the people who adopt cats and kittens from us, and those who spread the word in the community about Regina Cat Rescue. So, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts and the hearts of our furry friends, for your support and generosity. Best wishes for the coming year!

- Sabrina Cataldo, President of Regina Cat Rescue

December's Metro Cat

Thanks to Metro Pet Market for Spaying It Forward! This month, Metro paid for Milly's spay surgery as part of their on-going mission to foster responsible pet guardianship. Milly is a sweet and loving kitten who came into RCR care from an overcrowded situation and in need of veterinary care. Now she's healthy, happy and spayed! For more info on Metro Pet Market, check out their website.

Bingo volunteer opportunities.

Foster homes on Instagram. Ever wondered what it's like to be an RCR foster home? Or just looking to increase your daily intake of cat photos? Check out the following Instagram accounts to meet some of RCR's foster homes and the cats in their care - Forever homes found. A grand total of 34 cats found their forever homes in November.

Craft sale success. Thanks to everyone who came out to the Coronation Park Community Association craft sale. We raised enough funds to sterilize eight cats. Thanks for the support!

Volunteer photographers. Please join us in welcoming two new volunteer photographers to the RCR team - Marty Woodcock and Wayne Gemmell. They join existing volunteer photographer Sabrina Millis. Big thanks to all three for using their skills to help Regina's abandoned cats and kittens find their forever homes!

Kit-Tea now in stores. Thanks to local businesses for stepping up to carry Kit-Tea in their shops. You can find RCR’s organic tea in Regina at Naked Bean Espresso Bar, Artful Dodger Café and Dr. Coffee. Kit-Tea is $7 per 25 g bag or three bags for $20. Online ordering is still available.
Photo of the Month! RCR volunteers were thrilled to be able to reunite 15-year-old Tiny with his family. It took five days, multiple sightings and many trips to the community cat feeding station before a volunteer was able to find him. When reunited, Tiny's family shed tears of joy - they were so happy to have their senior kitty back! Pictured here is Tiny once found at the feeding station (left) and Tiny relaxing back at home (right).
