Join us at the Redmond Centre for the 2015 Woodberry Down Winterfest

The Woodberry Down Winterfest is a wonderful opportunity to bring the whole community together for some festive fun and a celebration of Woodberry Down’s past, present and future.

Join us for mince pies and Music at the Rose garden (just up from the Woodberry Down post office) as we turn on the Christmas lights from 3:45.

MHDT and the other partners on the regeneration will then host a celebration of food, stalls and entertainment at the winter feast in the Redmond Community centre from 4:30pm - 7:30pm.
The Redmond Centre Jobs Fair
On Friday November 20th 2015 Genesis Housing Association, working in Partnership with Manor House Development Trust (MHDT) held its latest employment fair at the Redmond Community Centre in Woodberry Down. Over 20 employers attended with over 50 live vacancies including administration, hospitality, customer service, child care and fitness jobs. Over 105 job seekers attended on the day and made the most of their chance to talk directly with employers and training providers. Read more on this story here 

Free Exercise classes at the Redmond Centre

Our Parks are providing free group exercise classes in the Redmond Community Centre every Monday & Saturday. See more here

Meet our new employment support team

MHDT is pleased to welcome two new team members who will be based at the Redmond Community Centre. Abdul Omifisoye, MHDTs new employment officer and Izzy Mussa who is part of Hackney Council's ways in to work service will be working to support local people with a range of employment support initiatives. Both Izzy and Abdul will be attending the winter feast to meet local residents so come along and say hello. Find out more about them here

Manor House Development Trust is providing a weekly surgery at the John Scott Health Centre this winter to help reduce you energy bills as part of the Big Energy Saving Network. To find out more please click here.

Knit and Knatter - Knit for Peace

Conscious of the plight of Syrian refugees, our weekly knitting group has been working together on a project preparing some beautiful knitted items to donate as part an appeal to provide clothes refugees caught up in the crisis. If you can match their generosity and spare a little money towards the transportation costs an online donation page is available herehttp://mydonate.bt.com/events/knitforpeacedistribution


If you would like to join in with Knit n Natter, sessions take place every Monday from 5.45-7.30pm at the Redmond Community Centre. Free drinks and snacks and an opportunity to make new friends. Click here for more details
