Strategies
The Board met last week to discuss the key areas to focus resources on in the future.
Strategies will be developed to build on the theme of Ipukarea.
Look out for a redeveloped education scholarship and grants programme, introduction of a rangatahi wanaga, higher visibility in Motueka, increased communication and more to come on health, housing, tikanga and te reo. Watch this space!

Jarrod Buchanan
It is with great pleasure we announce the co-option to the Board of Ngāti Rārua Ātiawa Iwi Trust of Jarrod Buchanan. Jarrod's term runs until the next Annual General Meeting on 23 April 2016.
Jarrod is of Ngāti Rārua and Te Ātiawa descent. He was raised in Wellington, spent many years overseas and now resides in Nelson with his wife and two young children. Jarrod has operated his own business for several years and has valuable skills in business activity and growth. This fits with our current direction to start and grow our whanau entrepreneurial activities and adds to the mix of skills and expertise already held within the Board.
He has been a Wakatū Incorporation Associate Director and through this appointment has had exposure to governance activities.
We welcome Jarrod to the Board and look forward to working with him.
