Over the past four years, Giving Tuesday has turned from a day-long event into a full-blown movement! After Black Friday and Cyber Monday, Giving Tuesday encourages Canadians to support local charities during the season of giving.

This year, we're launching our 19th annual Toque Campaign on December 1st - Giving Tuesday! We're challenging Canadians to get in the giving spirit and support long-term solutions to homelessness. And we're making it easy!

We've set a simple but ambitious goal - sell 250 toques in ONE DAY. This would be the most toques ever sold on day one of our Toque Campaign - a new record!

The money raised from 250 toques would provide:

- life-skills training for four single mothers,

- one month of housing for a homeless youth,

- hot meals for 25 people who need it most,

- two micro loans for women fleeing domestic violence and securing safe shelter,

- and one week's worth of transit tokens.

Buying a toque is easy - Canadians can purchase a toque from one of 50 local Partner Agencies or can buy them directly online at www.raisingtheroof.org.

New Website Launched!
The new www.raisingtheroof.org is easy-to-use, providing visitors with information about our campaigns, ways to get involved, and resources on homelessness. It's also mobile-friendly, meaning you can access it just about anywhere. Most importantly, it's where you can find your #rtrtoque!

Toque Supporter Spotlight: Maeve-Arden Carr

Maeve sold 50 toques at her workplace in one week. She also hosted the 'Baker's Delight' bakesale. In total, she raised $750!
