Buckle up: One week to Cape Town
Stop TB's key moments: Global Plan to End TB 2016-2020, Global TB Summit, Coordinating Board & Union Conference

Cape Town, South Africa. 29 November - 6 December

Dear Partners, Colleagues & Friends,

We are now just days ahead of what will be an incredibly momentous week in Cape Town following the very successful virtual launch of the Global Plan to End TB 2016-2020: The Paradigm Shift.
As mentioned in my earlier communication, we kick-off with our 27th Coordinating Board Meeting on Sunday 29 November, which then leads right into the high level official endorsement of the Global Plan to End TB 2016-2020: The Paradigm Shift ahead of the Global TB Caucus of Parliamentarians and the start of the 46th Union World Conference on Lung Health. We are thrilled to be able to welcome high level speakers and experts, activists, and people affected by TB from around the world that will challenge us all to explore how we can collectively change the conversation on TB.

Together with MSF, we will also be launching the 2015 Out of Step Report, a survey of TB policies and practices in 24 countries. And, we will also be awarding the 2015 Kochon Prize which is focused on unrecognized/unsung heroes working in TB. Please stay tuned for a separate announcement on the winner(s) in the days to come.

See below the list of events that are taking place in Cape Town. Please note that this does not replace the official list of events as highlighted on The Union website

Have a safe trip, and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Sincerely,

Dr. Lucica Ditiu
