We are excited to share our new campaign with you which has recently kicked-off, to raise funds for 2274 learners, in 5 schools in rural KwaZulu-Natal, to provide them with BASIC stationery: thick and thin pencils, pens, erasers, sharpeners, scissors, rulers, thick and thin wax crayons and pencil crayons.
Why? Because every time we go into these schools the children are running around with the smallest of pencils, holding on to them tightly so they don’t lose them as they know those are their only ones, as the pictures illustrate.

Lack of basic stationery is one of the factors which perpetuates poor education in South Africa. Edupeg partners with these 5 schools to provide in-classroom teacher mentorship and support, and since these schools have been so involved in, and appreciative of our project, we wanted to reward them by providing stationery for their learners.
How can you help? Click on this link which will take you to our Thundafund campaign. Thundafund is an online Crowdfunding platform where we can track the progress of our campaign.
