Walk It Off! What It Takes to Walk Off Your Holiday Feast!

Greetings and Happy Thanksgiving! As your nutritionist I just want to send you a special reminder to be mindful of what you eat over the next few days. Here is a chart that gives the calorie breakdown of some common foods eaten during Thanksgiving, as well as what is a standard serving size. Use this guide to help you keep in mind what a serving size will look like, as well as how many minutes of walking your feast may take to burn off.

As you head into this holiday season I want to remind you that one day of enjoying your favorite foods will not pack on the pounds. However, if you continue to overindulge over the course of the week and weekend you could see an increase in the scale. Be mindful of your choices, take an after dinner walk, and remember to drink more water!
