We Give Thanks to Tim for Delivering the First Pitch and Sharing the Importance of being Humble and Kind...

New York, New York

It was a beautiful tribute to our Tugger- on November 1st, Tim McGraw threw out the Game 4 World Series ceremonial first pitch. Country music star is the son of late Mets closer and our founder, Tug McGraw, who coined the phrase "Ya Gotta Believe."  There is a lot of pressure in throwing out the first pitch and TMF gives a big shout-out to Faith Hill, his beautiful wife for practicing with him in advance of the game.  In addition to throwing out the first pitch, our honorary chair released a new album on November 6th, Damn Country Music.  The album includes the powerful track, Humble and Kind. The song truly has a message for all of us to reflect upon as we gather with family and friends this Thanksgiving.

Tim talks about Humble and Kind and why he felt this song really needed to be heard.

We Give Thanks to the Vintners and Chuck!

Napa, California

A special thank you to Chuck Cartwright for his Barrels for Vets program. In the month of November used barrels from Robert Foley Vineyards and Hudson Vineyard brought in $2100 for TMF programs. What is Barrels for Vets? Chuck Cartwright of Hudson Vineyards sees used barrels as a valued resource, a raw material that can be transformed into a work of art or functional article to help heroic veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Got barrels to donate, contact Ava Talamantez our office administrator aka Chuck's wife!
