It's November! It's Thanksgiving! There is a lot to be thankful for, including our crazy RLT family. So let's fucking celebrate! After our obligatory family dinners, of course. Tea Tsunami began to take shape when Nick returned to Chicago after eight years "finding himself" in Colorado. Upon his return, he started collaborating with his friend and high school bandmate Gabe, and they started planting the seeds of what would later become Tea Tsunami. Two drummers later and feeling jaded, Nick turned to Galen, another old friend, for a fresh perspective and they started sharing ideas. Finally fed up with all the drummer drama, Nick started dragging his girlfriend Jen to all band activities requiring percussion; he realized the easiest way to acquire someone willing to practice the drums was to physically put the person in a car with him when he left his apartment, and then keep the doors locked for the duration of the trip.

The Mudflapps
The Mudflapps are a Chicago- based band that plays original acoustic music. Whether plugged-in on the big stage, or truly unplugged and unamplified, they give audiences a dose of country storytelling at its finest. The songs weave tales of woe, whiskey, and wild living into a mix of styles with nearly universal appeal. Sometimes it sounds like honky-tonk, sometimes more like bluegrass, sometimes more like jug band blues. It often sounds like nothing you’ve ever heard before. Upright bass, guitars, dobro, and mandolin combine with strong songwriting and tight vocal harmony to create a show fit for stages of any size.

Yes, The Red Line Tap has Parking, and it's free! Located in the Eugene Field Elementary School parking lot, located on the corner of Ashland and Greenleaf, Enter on Greenleaf. Everyone coming to the Red Line Tap can use our lot, patrons and bands alike. All cars have to be out of the lot by 2 am.

So you wanna play at the Red Line Tap? From Punk to funk and almost everything in between, The Red Line Tap is booking shows for 2015 from headlining acts to support acts, etc. Compensation varies, pending bill, line up, etc
Here’s what we tend to book:
Punk, Rock, Power Pop, Indie, Country, Bluegrass, Alt Country, Metal, Alternative Rock, Funk, Ska, Reggae, Roots, Americana, Traditional Country, Blues, Acoustic, and more, from Local, Regional and National talent. Sorry, but we don’t book cover or tribute bands.
All performers and patrons at the Red Line Tap must be 21+, it’s not us, it’s the law
