Imagine being in his shoes……

Imagine being in Arijit’s shoes. He came to America on H1B, just like many of us here, to pursue the American dream. But due to no fault of his own, 40-year old Arijit and his young family are now faced battling against brain cancer. With no short-term or long-term insurance from his company and without any income, the family is pushed against the wall for survival. Without any immediate family in this country, Arijit is reliant on us to see him through, at least in the short term, before chemo treatments take effect and he is back on his feet. We all dread this ever happening to us. But such nightmares do take place. And this time it is taking place in front of our eyes. Instead of being bystanders, we at NVBA have committed ourselves to help Arijit and his family get their life back in the near future. To achieve that we have created Mission Arijit. Our goal is to support the family financially for 6 months. Fortunately, a local charity organization, Pratit International, has opened up its portal to us to collect donations for Arijit. The charity is committed to passing on every dime collected to Arijit’s family. We have set up 2 payment plans in this portal: the first option is for 1 time payment, the second is for recurring payment. The first option is intended for the daily incidentals. The second is intended for paying his health insurance and rental costs for the next 6 months. We urge you to be part of the army of Mission Arijit and help us in supporting this family in distress.
