With just a couple of weeks to go until the end of 2015, it is a good time now to participate in the Worldwide Intranet Challenge (WIC). The WIC enables you to obtain information that will help you improve your intranet.
Participating before the end of year means your organisation will be eligible for the most coveted intranet recognition award available - the WIC’s most valuable intranet award!
This award recognises those intranets that are most highly valued by the people that matter most - the actual intranet end users. Previous recipients include:
- Esurance (USA),
- Milan Chamber of Commerce (Italy) and
- Aspen Technology (USA).

The WIC awards also recognise a number of other categories such as most interactive intranet, most valuable intranet content, ease of finding information, assistance completing tasks, collaboration, mobile and off-site access, personalization, maintenance, speed, performance, look & feel and visual design.
Besides obtaining recognition for your intranet, other benefits of participating in the WIC include:
- Finding out what your end users really think about your intranet so that you can prioritise and improve those areas that matter the most
- Obtaining evidence for a business case to fund intranet improvements
- Motivating your intranet team by identifying measurable goals
- Measuring the impact of any intranet improvements by comparing before-and-after responses
