The people from Dalia’s book believe that a playful and interactive approach to learning helps the kids be engaged and reduces absenteeism. For them, like for us, it is clear, that the digital era will require new ways of reaching children and game-based learning is the perfect tool for that. We consider the way Hour of Code introduces the building blocks required for computer science fits very well with our vision of game based learning. The resources provided encourage autonomy and exploration, the content being presented as a puzzle game.
Our trainers and mentors from Digital Kids Cluj join Dalia’s book for Hour of Code to bring more technology in the education process. This year we will organize the event with the support of two partner schools from Cluj-Napoca where Dalia’s Book is already active with their own programs: Nicolae Iorga middle school and the Center for Inclusive Education.
