In response to numerous questions received by Lanterman from our service providers asking if there were precautions you should be taking in light of the incident at Inland Regional Center, please read the following:
By now, I’m sure you know that while the incident occurred in the conference center at the Inland Regional Center, it was not directed at the regional center staff, clients, families or providers.
There are no special precautions that need to be taken in response to Wednesday’s event. You should, however, continue your regular precautions to ensure the safety of your staff and clients. This is a good time to review your agency’s emergency plan with staff.
In the event of an emergency that might impact our service providers, the regional center contacts providers in that area using contact information from the vendor file.
