Year end update

Our end of the year update/funding appeal went out to active donors last week. It includes some highlights from 2015 as well as a rundown of what we plan to accomplish in 2016.

Federal Transportation Bill Passed!
 
On Friday Congress passed the first long-term transportation bill in a decade. The five-year, $305 billion Fixing America’s Surface Transportation (FAST) Act doesn’t have everything we asked for, but it does help bring some stability to our push for better transportation choices in Idaho. Brownfields Assessment Grant Open House
 
Capital City Development Corp., Boise’s redevelopment agency, is applying for an EPA brownfields assessment grant for the 30th Street area in Boise’s west end. There’s an open house on Wed., Dec. 9 at Boise City Hall. More info is here.

  • Ada County 2025 is a planning process to update the Ada County Comprehensive Plan and develop a Strategic Business Plan. They are looking for some feedback on key issues. Click here to participate. 
  • Save the date! The "Move Forward" Idaho Walk Bike Summit will be held in downtown Boise on May 12th and 13th. The summit is an exciting and energetic two-day event full of fantastic workshops and networking opportunities. 
  • COMPASS is holding a photo contest as a part of Communities in Motion 2040--an update to the Treasure Valley's transportation plan. They want photos of all modes of transportation used in the valley. Click here for more information on how to submit.
