Davenant Foundation School students write, direct and perform their own panto - 'Oh yes they did!'
Sixth Form Drama and Theatre studies students at Davenant Foundation School, Loughton, have performed their own pantomime.
The ten-strong cast of Year 12 students wrote, directed and performed 'Queenknapped'.
Head of Drama Sarah Brooks, who took on the role almost a year ago having been Head of Drama at a secondary school in Havering for the previous five years, said: "I had some wonderful links with five local primary schools that visited year on year for this wonderful pantomime tradition.
"This experience has been a real highlight in my career and I would love to start a tradition here in Loughton."
She added: "It is a lovely way to start the Christmas period - with a little bit of ‘Oh no it isn’t’ and ‘It’s behind you!’ with a little special magic from the cast of 'Queenknapped'.
"This is an opportunity to make some new school links in terms of drama and performance and bring something special to the primary school children of Loughton."
