Hi friends, from my tradition to yours, Merry Christmas.
And in the spirit of giving gifts... I have a new song for you.
"Our Beloved" is the latest from a new batch of songs that I have been recording for my daughter. It is available for a limited time as a free download and stream on Robertdeeble.com.
I detail the story behind the song in my blog, but in short, this describes the night we drove Maliyah home to live with us.

A New Album Begins

Since the adoption of our daughter a year ago December, I've been writing an album for her to document our journey of becoming a family together. With the help of some wonderfully talented friends, the songs are being arranged for strings and percussion. And although still early in its inception, the project is starting to feel reminiscent of my more orchestrated influences (think Enigk's "Frog Queen" or Drake's "Five Leaves Left").
For those of you in Seattle...
I will be at the Fremont Abbey January 8th opening for The Cloves.

Patronage
Thanks to the good people at bandcamp.com, my website now has a feature to allow patronage. Doing so enables you to partner in the artistic process by helping to record an album and having access to songs in their early stages. I feel like this allows more of a personal connection to an album and its development. I hope some of you will consider becoming a patron if you are able. Here is more information.
Whatever your tradition may be,
may peace be with you, and with all of us in the coming year.
Thanks for listening...
- Robert
