Epping Forest MP Eleanor Laing supports Neighbourhood Food Collection at Waltham Abbey Tesco store
Epping Forest MP Eleanor Laing supported the Neighbourhood Food Collection being organised by the Trussell Trust and Fare Share, which runs the local Food Banks, when she visited Waltham Abbey's Tesco store.
Mrs Laing said: "I know how important it is for families who are in difficulty and for people who are going through a problematic time to get the immediate help that a foodbank can give them just when they need it."
Mrs Laing added: "I was delighted to be at Tesco Waltham Abbey with councillor Jeanne Lea and the other volunteers who are doing a great job collecting donations.
"I filled a basket with the sort of things I know mothers of young families need and I hope this will provide a bit of help for someone who needs it."
