Just to let you know this is the last Community News and Views newsletter for 2015, it will resume again on 19 January 2016, all staff and board members at Volunteer Nelson wish you a very Merry Christmas and an very enjoyable Festive season. Our office will be closed to the public from 24 December until 6 January 2016.
 
Community News and Views (CN&V) is now fortnightlyIt is published on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month.

The deadline for posting news is 5 pm on the Friday prior to publication.
The Networker which is published on a monthly basis will be produced on the 1st Tuesday of each month, incorporated into CN&V.

2016 Nelson Post Budget Breakfast Meeting-Child Poverty Action Group-December 18

Earlier this year, we reached out to the wider community to assess interest in a proposed 2016 Post Budget Breakfast event, hosted by the Child Poverty Action Group. We received many positive replies and are pleased to announce that this event will be held in Nelson in May 2016.

Opportunity for Community Organisations to be Involved in Marchfest 2016

MarchFest is a local craft beer & music festival and will held on Saturday 19th March 2016 at Founders Park.

They are on the look-out for willing groups of volunteers to work a 4-5 hr shift at the event and in return raise some funds for their group. Ideally they would want groups of 10+ people over the age of 18yrs and they would volunteer in a variety of areas – bar service, token selling, waste management, kids zone.
