Since Echo Boutique opened in May on Baker, we have added so many new sustainable and fair trade lines to our selection, we found ourselves short of space!

We're moving as we speak.....75% of the stock in ECHO is already set up and displayed at the new location. We figure by lunch we will be set up and ready to open our doors.

The Eagle`s ECHO and the Echo`s eagles!

Shortly after agonizing over a name for our new eco boutique across the street, we heard a news report that clinched it or us:

It turns out, Echo Lake in BC is the biggest breeding area for eagles in the world. At any given time, up to 700 eagles can be seen in this rare lowland old-growth forest ecosystem. During salmon spawning time in the fall, up to 10,000 eagles will come to Echo Lake in some years!

The Ancient Forest Alliance and local residents are currently calling for the government to protect this unique and beautiful area from logging, as part of it is included in a privately owned woodlot. To learn more about this campaign and support the Ancient Forest Alliance, visit their website.
