Congratulations to our December Volunteer of the Month, Julie Jorde. Julie has been involved with Robotics programs at LCE for 3 years now and has coached for 2 of these years. Julie is an anchor for this program with coaching, coordinating events, helping out in EVERY way she can, and even opens up her home for anyone to participate in practice sessions, etc. In addition, her husband has helped the team to win scholarships from Philips Ultrasound group in Bothell as well as provide a great STEM field trip to their facility's Engineering Days in February. Julie and her family are crucial to the success of the growing LCE Robotics Program. Thank you Julie for all you do!
Holiday Affair
You asked and we listened! Instead of a movie this year we will spend the evening crafting. We will need lots of help with the crafts to make this night fun for everyone. Please sign up for a shift, there will be enough time to help AND still enjoy crafting with your kiddos! There will be several craft options available, pick one or pick all. Prices for the crafts range from $.50 to $3.
We are giving back to our community again this year with our Warm Hands Drive! Please bring a pair of gloves or mittens (child or adult size) for our Caring Committee to donate to the Snohomish Community Food Bank and the Snohomish Cold Weather Shelter. Let's share the warmth of this holiday season!
For each pair of gloves or mittens you donate you will receive a raffle ticket for a chance to win an amazing gingerbread house made by Jenny Liddington! The more mittens you bring in the more tickets you’ll receive!
Family Heritage night was a huge success! We had about 23 families participate and we traveled to 17 different countries. Thank you to everyone who took the time to be there. We look forward to filling up your passports with even more countries to visit next year!
