Recap: Tomosynthesis Installation on The Truck!

 Thanks to your support! 
New Digital Breast Tomosynthesis technology was installed on BCDC's Mobile Mammography Truck. 
 
Tomosynthesis technology offers: greater accuracy, earlier detection, and fewer patient callbacks. 
 


Recap: Educational Programs


Jed Malan M.D. with North Star Radiology presented a mini-lecture entitled Making Sense of the Current Mammography Recommendations at BCDC. After addressing three differing recommendations, Malan advocated for annual mammograms for women age 40 and above. 

 
  In partnership with Moda Health, BCDC presented every FNSBSD elementary school counselor with the book "Mommy Found A Lump" by Nathalie G. Johnson M.D. Odette Butler BCDC Director led a group discussion on how it can be used to help children when their family experiences breast cancer.
 
 

Delivering Services -

  BCDC is now scheduling 2016 mobile mammography sites. Call 1-800-464-4577 to request breast cancer screening services delivery on-site in your community or at your place of business.
