CELEBRATING CONQUERING KILIMANJARO

One year ago today, more than 500 people packed Orlando's Full Sail Live, rising to their feet to celebrate Bolder Docs’ first film, Conquering Kilimanjaro, which tells the inspirational story of 16 cancer survivors and advocates’ attempt to summit the world’s tallest free-standing mountain. Since that premiere night (click here to watch highlights from the premiere), the film has been seen by people across the world and aired on local and national TV stations. In fact, it's been nominated for a 2015 EMMY® Award by the Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

Conquering Kilimanjaro is more than a film; it's a powerful testament to the power of hope and love, even amongst a group of strangers who banded together to do the seemingly impossible. It's a reminder of goodness in the world we all need now more than ever.

We want to help you share this good news story with the people in your lives. As an exclusive for our Insiders, we're offering 25% off all Conquering Kilimanjaro DVDs, soundtrack CDs and t-shirts. Just visit the Conquering Kilimanjaro store and use the code insider at checkout. We also offer digital downloads of the film that you can buy for yourself or a friend (**Note: the 25% discount does NOT apply to digital downloads).

To show you just how special the film is, we're including highlights below that tell the stories of some of the incredible people who climbed the mountain, including cancer survivors Jeremy Jungling, Bree Sandlin, Doug Ulman and Wendy Chioji. Watch these highlights and get inspired about all the hope, inspiration and possibility that still exists in the world.
  Relentless Forward Progress

Jeremy Jungling was a newlywed, running coach and in the best shape of his life. When he learned he had colon cancer, he was stunned. After spending two weeks in the hospital, he had only one thing on his mind: pounding the pavement to run, despite his doctors telling him to “forget about” running. Click here to see how else he’s battling back against the disease and why he’s no longer waiting until “I’m older” to chase his dreams.
The Power of Love

Bree Sandlin has faced her share of challenges in her life. After years of battling infertility, she was blessed with twins, only to watch one suffer from a stroke and an eventual cerebral palsy diagnosis. And then came her own cancer diagnosis in her 30s. But she has a message: love is the most powerful weapon of all. Click here to watch her story of survival and hope.

  Set Unachievable Goals

Doug Ulman is not one to back down from challenges. From battling cancer three times, to building LIVESTRONG into one of the world’s most powerful and effective cancer fighting communities, Ulman has been a fearless warrior. Click here to see why getting heartbreaking news while still in Africa showed Ulman just how important opportunities like this climb are for millions of people around the world.
Just Keep Climbing

Wendy Chioji is not just the host of our Emmy-nominated show, Surviving & Thriving, she’s a role model for survivors of all kinds. This breast cancer survivor is battling the disease once again, with a diagnosis of recurrent thymic carcinoma. Despite the challenges this rare form of cancer has given her, Wendy is as enthusiastic and positive as ever. Click here to get inspired by her spirit and attitude.
