Advent Walk at the Grotto Tomorrow! On Dec. 4, @6:30 p.m. meet at the entrance to take in the Christmas lights and enjoy a concert by the Mount Hood Comm. College choir, conducted by Kevin Lambert at 8 p.m. Adults: $10.

Gingerbread House Competition Gather in Schmidt Hall after worship this Sunday to build a gingerbread house at this all ages event hosted by MPC Youth groups.

Christmas Boxes Food items we still need includes cold cereal and instant oatmeal (ten pack). Please plan to have all donations for Christmas Boxes in no later than Dec 13th. Please call Kelley Gutman (503.944.9811) with any questions. 

“Drop-in” to this year’s Christmas Pageant Dec. 13th! Families with children who would like to dress up as stable animals are encouraged to participate the morning of the pageant with no advance rehearsals necessary! Kids who arrive at the sanctuary at 9 a.m. will choose a costume for the morning and receive directions. Those with pre-assigned readings and musical roles should also arrive at 9 a.m. to assemble all the moving pieces!

White Elephant and Cookie Exchange Dec. 13th After the pageant, bring a small wrapped gift under $5 to Schmidt Hall to exchange in several rounds of trading and opening. To participate in an exchange of Christmas cookies instead, please bring a batch you would like to trade.

Craft of Christmas Wednesday Dec. 16th Spend time together making new ornaments and listening to music of the season. We will be in Schmidt Hall from 6-8 p.m. for this weeknight event. All ages are encouraged to come.

S.O.N. Thanks to all who contributed meals, helped host, stayed overnight, helped set up and take down items, opened the building, did laundry, helped clean and donated money for gift cards for lunch, diapers and other expenses.  It takes a village to pull off hosting a family for two weeks.

Thanksgiving Pies Thanks to all who helped donate 123 homemade pies and donated $290 for meals at the Portland Rescue Mission. 

Christmas Joy Offering Dec. 20th Your gift helps provide financial assistance to current and retired church workers and their families and also enables deserving students to attend Presbyterian-related racial ethnic colleges and schools.

Advent Devotionals available now! The 2015 devotional features photographs by Marilyn Barnes, as well as stories and scripture, reflections and activities full of new and old traditions to connect us in the spirit of the season. Check your email inbox or pick up a printed copy in the Narthex.
