New Drop-In Coffee Morning Success!
In August we held our first Drop-In Coffee Morning and were delighted with the event. Around a dozen guests attended and enjoyed each others company as well as the delicious cakes (baked by our wonderful volunteers). Next date 20th January 10am-12 noon, no booking required. This is open to all guests, past and present and anyone with cancer. We even have a Gluten-free option donated by Helen at A Basing Bakes.
These Coffee Mornings were started with a Have Your Say grant from Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council. Thank you to everyone who voted for us in March enabling us to win the grant.

Catwalk and Clothing Show raises over £1200
Ten of our lovely Pink Place volunteers and guests (plus our man from Sainsbury's Kempshott - Jason) modelled clothes for us at our Annual Dragonfly Clothing Show. The show was a sell out with clothes available to try buy and take away on the night. Massive bargains were to be had on high street and big brand names.

Miranda Hynan
Miranda started volunteering for The Pink Place in March 2013 and has become a popular member of the team specialising in nails with her Christmas nail art especially in demand. Miranda is qualified in beauty therapy, make-up and nails but has also been to music college and is a trained vocalist.
Miranda is a keen animal lover and has seven pets. One of her other interests is genealogy and she has traced one family line back to 1600's!
Miranda enjoys volunteering for The Pink Place and especially likes seeing guests happy when they leave. She was inspired to join The Pink Place because several family members had cancer.
We are very grateful to Miranda and to all our therapists and volunteers who work together to provide the sessions which mean so much to our guests. Also thanks to all the other volunteers who work hard to raise money and awareness for our charity.
If you would like to volunteer for The Pink Place, then please get in touch at info@thepinkplace.org.uk
