Here's what's coming up during Advent!
- Tonight at 7 p.m.: Coping with the Holidays Grief Workshop
- Last Call: Saturday, December 5, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m, Parents' Morning Out: kids of all ages are welcome; youth 6th grade and up will be helpers for the most part. If you'd like to send your kid, you should tell us. If you'd like to help provide parents with a morning out by helping with kids or helping with lunch for kids, you should tell us that, too!
- Sunday, December 6: Bring a goodie to share and enjoy a favorite Christmas movie. It's short and we're pretty sure all ages will enjoy!
- Sunday, December 13: making Christmas ornaments
- Sunday, December 20: Christmas sing-along
- Monday, December 21: gift distribution at Chandler Christian Community Center from 8:15 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.; RSVP if you're interested!
- Thursday, December 24: worship at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner with Alas de Salvacion
- December 6 & December 13: Stuffed Stockings for House of Refuge. See below for details!

Stuffed Stockings for House of Refuge
This year, we'll be stuffing stockings for House of Refuge! Well, actually, we'll be filling socks, but stuffing stockings sounds so much better. House of Refuge is a transitional housing program located on the old Williams Field Air Force Base. Most of their clients are women and children, though they have a growing number of men as residents. Want to stuff a stocking? Here's what you do:
- Buy a pair of socks.
- Fill one of the socks with items that would make the first night at House of Refuge easier. Most people arrive with very few belongings. Think toothbrush, soap, and other basic toiletries.
- Put the second sock in the first sock.
- Bring your filled socks to Chalice on, December 6 or December 13. We'll get them to House of Refuge so they're ready to welcome new residents.
