Do you understand your customer’s journey?


Relatively little is known about how or why tourists plan a visit to the coast, or how their experience could be ‘managed’ once they’re there to encourage repeat visits. Using Bournemouth as a case study, we’ve published new research on our Resource Hub to help map that all important visitor journey.

You’re invited to hear Christopher Rodrigues CBE, chairman of VisitBritain, deliver an Expert Lecture at Bournemouth University’s Lees Lecture Theatre, Talbot Campus, on 25 February 2016, 10.00-12.00.

Mr Rodrigues provides strategic leadership for VisitBritain and works with both private and public sectors in England, Scotland and Wales to help boost tourism in Britain. Here’s your chance to hear his views on how he wants to provide greater coherence and partnership working in the visitor economy.

NCTA signs agreement with
China Tourism Academy


Earlier this month a delegation visited London from the China Tourism Academy, a Chinese Government think tank based in Beijing, to sign a formal agreement to work with the NCTA on common tourism development areas and share knowledge on the growth of tourism in the UK and China.  Areas to be explored include factors that influence visitor satisfaction, ways of making tourism knowledge more accessible and training to meet specific market needs.
