Please be aware that all providers planning to participate in Stage 2 of Meaningful Use for calendar year 2015, 2016 or 2017 must have 5 Decision Support rules set up prior to January 1st of the following year.  

Failure to have all rules in place by this date would affect the provider’s ability to successfully attest to this required objective for 2016.  

The measure calls for a total of 5 rules to be related to four or more Clinical Quality Measures that are relevant to the Provider’s scope of practice or patient population.  If four relevant Clinical Quality Measures are not available, then the rules must be related to a high priority health condition.

The Decision Support rules are required to be in place for the entire reporting period, which, for 2016, will begin on January 1, 2016.
