Dear <<First Name>> <<Last Name>>,
It is the cradle of all being and all appearances: nature. Everything that is has its ultimate origin in it and, therefore, it is no wonder that it is also the greatest source of inspiration for human creativity, the outcomes of which we tend to conceptually separate from nature. In our today’s newsletter, we would like to guide you into a realm created by man that is not only inspired by nature, but moreover even, more or less, reproduces natural things.
On a bridge in Texas, we find reeds of steel, a virtual forest becomes physical in New Delhi, and colorful hydrangea plants bloom by means of umbrellas, stools and bicycle wheels in New York. Leaving flora, it gets more and more “rocky”: a café and information center in Osaka presents itself as a topography, a cubist volcano arises in Hungary, and an even twofold moon rises in South Korean Goyang.
Enjoy this colorful selection of – not always quite obvious – imitations and abstractions of nature with mapolis | Architecture.
