Campus News

The Fall 2015 semester has come to an end and students and visiting faculty have departed from Harlaxton Manor. We would like to thank our diligent staff for their hard work that made this semester a success. We wish all of our students the best in their future endeavours.

8 Days in Italy
Students and staff traveled to the three classic Italian cities of Rome, Florence and Venice for the last college-organized trip of the semester to Italy. This is an eight day long trip that leads students back to Heathrow Airport in London to gather their belongings and head back to the U.S. Pictured below are students saying "ciao" to Venice and moving on to Florence.

Stanford in Britain Reunion
Earlier in the year, we were delighted to welcome a group of 17 Stanford Alumni back to Harlaxton. For many, it was the first time they had returned to the manor since 1967.

Highlights of their three night visit included an historical tour of the Manor, a day trip to nearby Lincoln, a champagne reception hosted by Principal (and Stanford alum) Gerald Seaman, and a formal banquet in the Great Hall on their last night. The group made a generous donation to the College, which has part-funded two new clocks in the revamped Refectory.

Joint group leader, Dennis Heffley, commented "Thanks to all who made our reunion visit such a wonderful experience. We wish that more of our original group could have joined us...maybe next time?"

The group hopes that Stanford in Britain can return to Harlaxton in 2017 to mark their 50th anniversary--a major milestone in the College's long and successful history.

Good luck Stanford in the Rose Bowl!
