MailChimp was recently
featured on Inc.com alongside Skype and Amazon as a top "cheap or free" tool for startups. What a nice surprise!
We sponsored a recent
SwissMiss CreativeMorning, featuring Khoi Vinh, NYTimes Creative Director (and
MailChimp user)
.
Looks like they had a great turnout, and Tina (Ms. SwissMiss) tells us the
MailChimp t-shirts we sent were very well-received. Makes me wish I lived in NYC.
Attending Internet Retailer 2009 Conference in Boston next week? Join Magento alongside Rackspace and MailChimp. Details...What's Magento? A super cool ecommerce platform that

We're proud to be a sponsor (along with Zappos) of Mashable's
Summer of Social Good.
Speaking of Mashable, we also co-sponsored the
Atlanta Mashable-Regator party back in May. Super fun.
Above is Amanda (our Chief Twitter Officer) schmoozing at the event. Photo courtesy of local entreprenur
Mike Schinkel who hosts the awesome
AWE Meetup and runs
NewClarity.net. Thanks, Mike!

MailChimp LabsWe just launched a couple new experiments in the MailChimp Lab:
PictaculousTake a picture and email it to us. We'll reply back with the hex color values, some suggested Kuler themes, and an Adobe color palette.
One of our projects got featured in the
Google Labs for our
API integration with Analytics. If you've never heard of it, our Google Analytics integration is an easy way to link MailChimp with your Google Analytics account, so you can
see exactly how much traffic and revenue your email campaigns are generating.
We're proudly sponsoring
TechDrawl.com, a local showcase for innovation in the southeast. We've placed a MailChimp Labs intro in all the videos on their site, as a way to attract local talent. Because yes,
we're hiring.
If you're a nerd, and you want to work at a place where you can experiment with new technology,
supercomputers, and not be around stupid people,
apply within.

Symbolism?
This random little tree just started growing outside
Juliana's window last year. We weren't sure it would last, but now it's really going through a growth spurt. As you can see, it's sprouted from the mortar between the bricks. Juliana has named him
Stanley Tucci. We'll keep you updated.
