New School, New Art Classes for 2016

Hi everyone,
It's come time when I need to move on from Waverley Woollahra Art School, where I have been teaching for 8 years. I have formed some lovely bonds with many of my students over the years and it's been a joy to see my students enjoy, learn and improve their skills in art, all in such great company. I must admit, it's been the incredibly supportive student body that has kept me teaching at WWAS for all these years.

I have been offered more classes at a private art school in Liechardt called Artest, run by Jennifer McNamara. I have also been working at Artest for the past 8 years with adults and children and have enjoyed every minute of it. Jen is an amazing business owner who is very supportive of her students and staff and cares deeply about the art school as an organisation that adds to the creative life of the Sydney community. 

I will be running adult classes on Tuesday day and evening, Wednesday day and evening for first term 2016. Artest classes run on an 8 week term and are slightly more expensive than WWAS. However, tutors are paid a fair flat hourly rate and treated with respect in a collaborative environment.

I understand for many of you, Leichardt is out of your area, however through the cross city tunnel it takes about 20 minutes from east to west and half an hour otherwise in non-peak hour. The art school is situated in a boutique industrial development at

and has plenty of free parking. It is a 5-10 minute walk from the bus stop at Leichardt Market Town on Marion St.
