Exciting future for UWW!
Dear volunteers and interested partners,
As you know, Brian is leaving Utah Water Watch at the end of this month. Brian has been amazing and we are incredibly sorry to lose him. With this transition, however, we have reorganized UWW a bit and are excited about these plans for the future of UWW.
In January, UWW will have 2 co-coordinators to improve our support and assistance across the state.
- Ellen Bailey has been working closely with Brian since June and will be located in SLC. Ellen can be reached at ellen.bailey@usu.edu or 407-310-8883.
- By next month we will also have a Utah Conservation Corps volunteer who will help coordinate out of our Logan office.
We’ll be integrating UWW with our Stream Side Science education program, which shares many of the monitoring activities with our Tier 1 level monitoring. We think this arrangement will provide the flexibility and attention to our volunteers that we have tried to provide for the past 4 years.
Look for more details on these changes soon after the New Year.
Best wishes and happy holidays to you all!
