“Drop-in†to this year’s Christmas Pageant this Sunday! Families with children who would like to dress up as stable animals are encouraged to participate the morning of the pageant with no advance rehearsals necessary! Kids who arrive at the sanctuary at 9 a.m. will choose a costume for the morning and receive directions. Those with pre-assigned readings and musical roles should also arrive at 9 a.m. to assemble all the moving pieces!
White Elephant and Cookie Exchange After the pageant Sunday, bring a small wrapped gift under $5 to Schmidt Hall to exchange in several rounds of trading and opening. To participate in an exchange of Christmas cookies instead, please bring a batch you would like to trade.
Craft of Christmas Wednesday Dec. 16th Spend time together making new ornaments and listening to music of the season. We will be in Schmidt Hall from 6-8 p.m. for this weeknight event. All ages are encouraged to come.
Christmas Joy Offering Dec. 20th Your gift helps provide financial assistance to current and retired church workers and their families and also enables deserving students to attend Presbyterian-related racial ethnic colleges and schools.
Christmas Boxes Please plan to have all donations for Christmas Boxes to the church no later than this Sunday. Food and non-food item lists are available in the Narthex. If you are making a cash donation, please mark you checks “Christmas Boxesâ€. Families are available for adoption or you can donate gifts (needed for all ages) and we will match them up with a family.
The Longest Night A service of solace will be held on Tues., Dec. 22 at 7 p.m. This candlelit evening prayer service will feature Taizé music and opportunities to hold up the light in the darkness. This service will be 30-45 minutes long.
Christmas Eve Family worship at 3:30 p.m.; Candlelit Worship at 11 p.m. Will your favorite Christmas hymn be sung? Come and find out!
Inclement Weather Please do not risk life and limb to come to church! On school days, MPC follows the North Clackamas School District: if schools are closed, so is the church office, and church events are cancelled. On weekends, we follow TriMet: if roads are bad enough for Milwaukie buses to be on snow routes, church will be cancelled. Check FaceBook and email for updates.
