A Note from the KOTESOL President

Happy 2016! The new year is looking very bright and promising for KOTESOL so far, with plans in the works for a National Conference in Wonju, Gangwon-do; a new venue for the International Conference; and continuing excellence from our publications, chapters, committees, and SIGs. I hope it will be a year of forward momentum and economical innovation--not just for KOTESOL, but for each of you, as well!

To all our members and KOTESOL News subscribers, I'd like to wish a warm, safe, and happy New Year. May your January be full of hope and promise for the year to come!

All the best,

National Conference Survey, Call for Proposals

The 2016 National Conference committee invites input and proposals for this year's event, scheduled to be held May 28, 2016, at Sangji University in Wonju, Gangwon-do. The theme is "Our Provinces," referring both to the various domains of expertise in ELT and to the provinces of Korea.

Currently, the conference committee would appreciate input from all KOTESOL News readers, both members and nonmembers, on what they would like from the conference. Whether you're planning to attend or not, please take five minutes to share your opinions in an online survey. The survey will be open through January 31.

In addition, the program committee is looking for outstanding presentations, workshops, pecha kucha, and colloquia. For additional details and proposal guidelines, please click here. The call for proposals is open now through March 1.
