Holiday Greetings from
Indy Healing Center!

It has been one year since Indy Healing Center first opened!  In alignment with Nature much has shifted over the past year and the expansion continues!

Indy Healing Center will open at its new location 7771 Spring Mill Road Indianapolis 46260 in the Spring of 2016.  The new center will offer a more expansive treatment space in a wooded setting (perfect for throwing eggs at trees!).  In addition, there is a large comfortable space for classes including a teaching kitchen!  Stay updated on the renovations at indyhealingcenter.com and on Facebook

I also am expecting my fourth child on 2/27/2016.  I intend to see patient right up until baby girl decides to make her entrance into this world.  To all my existing patients, this becomes an excellent opportunity to take your self healing skills to the next level!  I will ensure everyone has sufficient herbs for the duration of my “sabbatical.”

In addition, I highly recommend you like tcmworld.org on Facebook.  TCM World is the foundation for the center where I trained.  Over the past 6 months they have begun an initiative to offer regular healing programs.  These programs are usually one week and integrate specific healing foods, intensive energy exercises, conference calls directly with Dr Nan Lu, OMD (whom I train with), and a forum on Facebook to connect with other participants.  The cost of most programs is $99.  See the information below on the latest offering in January: The Seven Day Soup Challenge. http://www.tcmworld.org/calendar/seven-day-soup-challenge/

INSPIRING CALLS WITH MASTER NAN LU

Sunday, January 10, 7:30 p.m.

Many ingredients go into your daily life. Like a large pot of soup, they have to be blended together smoothly. How can you look at these ingredients and simplify your life? Our master chef, Master Nan Lu, will stir the pot and share his insights.
SEVEN-DAY EATING PLAN
Keep it light and simple with our custom, eating for healing plan.  Nourishing soups, warming foods and delicious teas are the main focus.
DAILY TAOIST ENERGY PRACTICES
You'll receive a guide which outlines Wu Ming Qigong movements to practice each day, a daily Five Element inspiration to ponder, and an interesting framework for making wardrobe choices during the week.
HERBAL SUPPLEMENT
Make it easier for your body to rest by adding a supportive supplement. The Kidney is the organ associated with Winter. Giving this organ the best boost now helps ensure a smooth transition into Spring (optional, but recommended).

As we are immersed in the Holiday season, remember that it is Winter.  Winter is the season of the Kidney.  Our Kidney houses our Life Force energy.  What you do during this time to
conserve and build your Kidney energy will impact your health and wellbeing in the year to come.  How can you boost the Kidney Qi?

~ Practice Qigong!  There is no other form of exercise that can build your energy foundation as Qigong can.

~ Practice the Four Energy Gates Daily to support energy flow, need a refresher?

~ Reduce Stress and Busyness!  Remember the Liver, which manages stress, is the child of the Kidney.  Reducing your stress will conserve your precious Kidney energy.

~ Eat Healing Foods for the Kidney: cauliflower, fennel, walnuts, black sesame seeds, bee pollen, cinnamon, bone soup, pine nuts, black beans, sesame oil, walnut oil, seafood (especially shellfish such as shrimp/squid/lobster/clams), goji berry, daikon radish

~ Be like the birds and fly south!  The ocean resonates with the Kidney.  Being close to the ocean will boost your Qi

~ Keep yourself warm, especially your ears!  The ears are the window of the Kidney.  Make sure to cover them on cold, windy days.  You can also stimulate your Kidneys by rubbing your ears for 5 minutes until they are warm and red!

~ Be wise like Mr Elf and come in for a tune up!

Wishing you all love, light, and FUN this holiday season!
