Where has this year gone? It has flown by and what a great year it has been.
November started off with fourteen of our Georgia Travelers at Joe Wheeler State Park in Rogersville, Alabama attending Alabama Grand Court. What a great time we had enjoying the fellowship and visiting with long time friends and making new ones.
The following weekend found eleven Georgia members attending the Florida Exchange in Jacksonville, Florida. On Friday night we visited Acacia Court Grand Royal Matron Official Visit and on Saturday enjoyed a lovely luncheon boat tour of the St Johns River. Everyone had a great time and we could not have asked for better weather for the boat ride.
Thanksgiving has been a wonderful time for family and friends, S.K. Bob and I had our family in on the weekend before Thanksgiving for our gathering of the clan. While the children, grands, and great grands were here they all got involved in putting up Christmas Decorations for the old folks so now we are enjoying the Holiday Season in style.
December brings us to the time of selecting officers for the coming year in your Courts and the Installations that begin in December and continue for the month of January, 2016. Make your plans to support our Courts in this impressive ceremony. (See list later in Notes)
The Grand Court Packages have gone out to all Court Secretaries and Officers, please share this information with your members and counterparts in other states. Invite them to come to Georgia for our Sixty-Seventh Annual “Garden of Life” Grand Court Session. This package of Information is also on the Georgia website.
It is time for Committee Chairmen to start getting your reports ready for Grand Court. H.L. Susy Lingerfelt is Address and Distribution Chairman this year and will be sending you instructions and a reminder of how to prepare and when and where to deliver your report. The reports are reviewed by the Supreme Royal Matron, it takes a while for her to review all of these reports and she ask that they be available to her on Wednesday prior to Grand Court.
We still have a lot of work that needs to be done in making the 2015 – 2016 Grand Court year “The best it can be”. Many of you will still have projects planned to raise more money for Diabetes Research. Let us know how we can help with these efforts.
These are exciting times, our Courts are making every effort to increase membership and get the longtime members active again. We are hoping and praying this trend will continue. This is the future of Amaranth in Georgia

Fundraising Idea for Month – Your own piggy bank!
Start the new year off by putting your spare change, $1 bills, $5 bills, etc in a jar (or cute piggy bank). You can either designate a certain amount every week ($5, $10, etc) or whenever you have a certain denomination in your wallet or all your change. Put this money away for diabetes research. You'd be surprised how fast it can add up and how you won't miss the money.
